A key issue in today’s society is to recycle as much as possible. Here at Keyishoes we offer a shoe recycling drop off point. You can bring to us shoes which have fallen out of fashion, shoes you feel are scruffy, shoes you’ve grown out of, or simply shoes you don’t like anymore and we will ensure that these are recycled.
Can I recycle shoes?
Yes. You can recycle shoes by bringing them to our mobile unit; shoes must be in pairs. The shoes will be redistributed overseas and taken to third world countries to be repaired and reused.
Before you decide to recycle your shoes, why not talk to us as we may be able to repair them so that they are as good as new and repairing old shoes is likely to be far cheaper than buying a new pair and is environmentally friendly.
How can I reduce my carbon footprint?
Remember the three R’s: Reduce, Repair, Reuse!
Reduce: Buy good quality shoes to start with – and make sure you try them on in the shop. Pick shoes that you’ll wear for years instead of fashion ones that may well fall apart quickly.
Repair: Most shoes can be repaired, so bring your shoes into us and we can take a look.
Reuse: If they can be reused, let someone else reuse them as shoes – drop them in our recycle bin and we will ensure they are redistribution overseas and reused.
